We can help

FOSTER AUTONOMY

From self-care routines to household responsibilities, autonomy comes from completing tasks that are meaningful to a person confidently and intentionally. We work on breaking down everyday activities into manageable steps through motor coaching, teaching adaptive strategies, and offering real-world practice in the environments where these skills matter most. Whether it’s getting dressed, preparing a snack, navigating a public space, or starting a new hobby, we equip you and your loved one with the skills and strategies needed to thrive.

EMPOWER CARRYOVER

By bringing therapy into real-life settings—home, school, and the community— foundational skills develop where they’re naturally used. Unlike clinic-based models, which often struggle to translate beyond their walls, our mobile OT approach ensures that growth happens in familiar environments, making carryover smoother, progress more meaningful, and confidence truly lasting. This also empowers parents and caregivers to feel supported in implementing the strategies in these environments, because they were a part of it from the start! With hands-on guidance and real-time collaboration, families gain the tools and confidence to support lasting success every day.

with SENSORIMOTOR REGULATION

Sensorimotor challenges can make the world feel too loud, bright, or overwhelming—or, on the flip side, dull and hard to engage with. Struggles with processing sensory input and executing intentional motor output can lead to meltdowns (aka nervous system overwhelm) or overall difficulty engaging in the world. Through sensory-based strategies, motor coaching approaches, and environmental modifications, we help your loved one build a stronger brain-body connection for greater confidence, regulation, and engagement. By addressing both sensory and motor needs, we create individualized plans that support movement, coordination, and sensory processing—whether that means refining motor control, integrating sensory input, or finding the right balance of support to foster confidence and participation in daily life.

and so much more!

We’ll Meet You At Home

We offer in-home therapy because that’s where your loved one feels safe, known, and comfortable. Most sessions happen in your home — a place where your loved one feels safe and regulated. But support needs to extend beyond the home—because regulation, communication, and connection are needed everywhere life takes you.

We all have to make a Target run now and then. When you're down to one square of toilet paper or need to grab something for dinner. Life doesn’t pause for perfect timing. Suddenly, you’re navigating sensory overload—crowded aisles, the relentless squeak of the cart, the hum of fluorescent lights. Your teen is holding it together… barely. And honestly? So are you.

And it’s not just Target. It’s the grocery store, the dentist’s office, the places that seem routine for others but require every ounce of strategy, patience, and nervous system regulation for you both.

Like a haircut. The sound of the clippers, the unexpected touch, the itchy feeling of tiny hairs on their skin—it’s overwhelming. You’re not just managing logistics; you’re troubleshooting motor planning challenges, sensory integration, and emotional regulation in real-time, hoping to get through it without a total shutdown.

This is why we don’t do therapy in a clinic. Because real growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it happens in motion, in context, in connection.

Or in the aisles, on the trails, & everywhere in between

We bring therapy into your world—the grocery store, the coffee shop, the hiking trail—where your loved one moves, learns, and engages every day. With an apraxia-informed approach, we focus on coaching movement, supporting regulation, and building strategies that make real-life tasks easier. You’re not hearing about progress secondhand; you’re part of it, seeing firsthand how motor coaching, prompt supports, and nervous system safety create lasting change.

And let’s be honest—fresh air and sunshine beat four clinic walls any day. Movement flows more freely when there’s an ocean breeze, a winding trail, or the soft give of sand underfoot. When the body feels safe, learning sticks. When the environment supports the nervous system, confidence grows.

This is therapy that works with the brain and body, not against it—helping your loved one build resilience, independence, and self-trust in the places that matter most.

OUR PROCESS

THE SUNRISE WAY

01

STEP ONE

BOOK AN INTRODUCTORY CALL

We don’t look at our clients as just numbers. We want to take the time to know what you’re looking for and ensure we’re a good fit for you. This is often a big missed step in the therapy process and although it’s an extra step, it’s one we highly value at Sunrise.

02

STEP TWO

LOOK OVER YOUR OPTIONS

After booking an intro call, you’ll automatically receive an email with information about our therapy plans, pricing, and funding options. Review this before our call and come with any logistical questions you may have.

We do not accept insurance at this time.

03

STEP THREE

GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER ON THE CALL

We will spend time chatting through your “why” for seeking support. We will share more about our approaches. You can ask us any questions clinically or logistically to confirm we’re a good fit. We then make suggestions on if an evaluation is needed or not, and next steps.

04

STEP FOUR

PICK A PLAN & GET SCHEDULED WITH US

You take your time to process what we discussed, review your options, and then let us know if you’re ready to start. We send intake forms and the Tetris game of scheduling begins!

*As of April 2025 we are operating off a waitlist for in person services. 😣
